![]() It's whimsical and charming while being really original. The world of Broken Age is wonderfully creative. The general storyline is really great, I think. This is probably the game's biggest success. It's satisfying for me, as a huge fan of these types of games, but I don't think it will alienate any people wishing to try Broken Age out. I think the accessibility of the puzzles is fantastic, considering how much was riding on this game when it comes to Kickstarters. The puzzles were satisfying to solve without being too challenging. I thought the game did a really good job at nudging the player in the right direction through hints and conversation. They were never really difficult, but there was only one that I had a really hard time with (that being the ladder + cloud shoes thing). I thought the puzzles were really well designed. Pretty much every character met in the game was memorable or amusing in some way. There weren't many lines that were laugh out loud funny, but a lot of it was really amusing and clever. The writing and voice acting was also really great. The art style doesn't have the same genius design as Grim Fandango, but it didn't have to. The game just looks beautiful in motion, the animation is fluid, the backgrounds are fantastic, characters have interesting designs, it's probably the most visually impressive game Double Fine has put out. The art style and visuals are fantastic throughout the game, it's a creative and original style. I thought it lived up to all of the hype of the Kickstarter. It's not the best game Tim Schafer has put out, but it's definitely one of the best. Personally, I thought it was really excellent. I just finished playing it a few hours ago.
